We’re currently recruiting a Trustee with HR expertise to join our board

At Housing Matters, we provide free, specialist advice, support, and advocacy for people in housing crisis or homelessness around Bristol.

We believe housing is a human right. And we fight tirelessly for everyone to have a safe and secure home.

Our housing advice is there for those who need on-the-spot guidance. For more complex casework, we offer holistic support and advocacy spanning weeks, months – even years.

We’d love to hear from you if you…

• Are interested in our vision, mission, and values;
• Have significant experience in Human Resources with the ability to provide strategic leadership;
• You can come along to our board meetings (every two months) and offer some additional time between meetings to support the running and development of the charity;
• You can support the charity to achieve its goals and ensure the charity functions within legal requirements;
• You have an understanding of our service users, preferably with personal and/or professional experience with homelessness and housing difficulty, although this is not essential.
